$94K - $119K a year 3 days ago 3 days ago 3 days ago Summary The Protestant Traditional Service Musician (PTM) will provide musical selections on the piano, keyboard, guitar, or other instrument for the Protestant Traditional Service.
The PTM will also assist the Protestant Traditional Worship Leader (Volunteer) in teaching music to the choir and other musicians in support of the Protestant Traditional Worship Service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
The PTM will perform a total of 52 weekly rehearsals and 52 weekly performances per year for the Traditional Worship Service and be required to perform no more than15 special services to include Christmas, Easter, Choir workshops, annual choir anniversary, funerals, and other services as requested.
Ensure performances are held at the regularly scheduled worship time on a weekly basis.
Must have reliable transportation, Special services may be performed at alternate locations including local funeral homes.
Responsible for set-up, take down, and proper storage of musical equipment and supplemental public address system equipment, if required.
Select music and make the slides for worship services, IE PowerPoint slides or other software Chapel may use for service.
PTM shall demonstrate integrity through a moral, upright lifestyle consistent with the chapel setting and Christian worshipping community.
No one shall be allowed to participate in band/praise team who appears to be under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs.
PTM will always conduct themselves in a professional and business-like manner, conservative and well-groomed appearance, civilian attire containing no offensive language or symbols.
Footwear must be always worn.
Must wear chapel robe for worship unless not a requirement.

PTM may only hold one contract per chapel service.
Candidates must audition for this position.
Education and/or Experience High School Military experience preferred, but not required.
Four years of experience preferred reflecting proficiency in playing the chosen instrument; proficiency in playing in a contemporary Christian style music; proficiency in sight-reading & leading contemporary Christian music; and the ability to recruit, work with, and lead volunteers and other contractors.
Minimum Requirements:
Criminal History Background Check- Successfully complete and pass security background investigation involving the following agencies for working with youth under 18:
a North Carolina Criminal History Background Check, an FBI Fingerprint Check, and a Fort Liberty Installation Records Check (IRC).
