Responsibilities:
Peraton requires Senior Technical Writers to support the Special Operation Command Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3.
Positions are located at the SOCOM Headquarters at MacDill, AFB FL, and at the TSOC and Component locations in the United States and abroad.
The purpose of the Special Operations Forces Information Technology Enterprise Contract (SITEC) 3 Enterprise Operations and Maintenance (EOM) Task Order (TO) is to provide USSOCOM, its Component Commands, its Theater Special Operations Commands (TSOCs),and its deployed forces with Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services to maintain Network Operations (NetOps); maintain systems and network infrastructure; provide end user and common device support; provide configuration, change, license, and asset management; conduct training, and perform Install, Move, Add, Change (IMACs) services.
The responsibilities and tasks associated with each requirement play a pivotal role to USSOCOM, the CIO/J6 organization, and ultimately the end-user who operate around the globe 24x7x365.
Senior Technical Writers will document IT standardization procedures to ensure maximum compatibility, interoperability, repeatability and service quality.
Will serve as lead doctrinal developer and analyst, expert historical researcher, and author of Component/TSOC operational doctrine.
Additionally, this position serves as a project leader and/or lead analyst for developing operational concepts and future Component/TSOC force structure alternatives, which describe long-term Component/TSOC war fighting capabilities for unilateral, joint and combined operations.
Senior Technical Writers will focus work efforts on strategic operations, operational planning requirements, intelligence operations and command and control.
They direct the technical writing teams support of multi-disciplinary projects and initiatives, interaction with subject-matter-experts in content development, and development of contract reports and other deliverables.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Developing doctrine related to joint, multinational and Component/TSOC operations within the Combined Arms Doctrine Directorate doctrinal proponent responsibilities Conducting special research and producing studies to assist the development of doctrine and doctrinal concepts for future joint and Component/TSOC operations Reviewing, analyzing, and providing comments and recommendations on documents relating to proposed employment doctrine, organizational changes, equipment developments, and new concepts forwarded for review by CAC directorates Participating on teams formed to conduct studies or to propose doctrinal concepts Analyzing changes in joint and other services doctrine and techniques to determine impact on Army operational doctrine Overseeing technical writing teams review and editing of documentation and diagrams of engineering and design activities Participating in conferences and doctrinal exchanges as required Some positions may require shift work and/or an ability to work a non-standard work schedule to support the USSOCOM missionLocations:

HS 5-6 Years OR Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in English, journalism or information sciences is required.

Target Salary Range:
$66,000 - $106,000.
This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
