Summary:
Administers all aspects of the custodian contract at assigned site.
Position requires strong interpersonal skills and compassion and respect for persons with disabilities.
Essential Functions:
Complies with all Agency policies and procedures and follows contract specificationsEstablishes and maintains positive relationships with government facility staffAccepts service requests and with CA approval provides service based on agreementOversees day to day operation of assigned contractPersonally observes work performed during all shifts on a regular basisMeets with supervisory staff regularly to facilitate process improvementEstablishes job task schedules per contract specificationsReviews and responds to inspection/deduction reportsAssures a high level of quality in performance of all workResolves quality issues through a quality control program and staff trainingEstablishes inspection procedures and guidelines for supervisorsConducts safety training and implementing of safety procedures and policiesKeeps SDS book current and chemical list updatedHires, evaluates, and supervises all staff membersTrains supervisors to perform to contract specificationsEstablishes training through vendorsSchedules general maintenance and floor care servicesPrepares schedules and maintains daily time records for staffMaintains payroll and supply costs within budget.
Inventories and orders supplies and uniforms with approval of the CAReceives and acts on reports and requests from contracting office personnelPresents ideas and recommendations to Contracts Administrator based on contract needsAnalyzes, reviews, and suggests solutions to operational challengesAvailable within one hour during normal working hours and within two hours after hours to respond to contracting officerAttends meetings with government, facility, and customer representativesObserves, manages, and provides feedback to all staff to ensure accurate job completionEnsures compliance with dress code and personal hygiene standards for self and staffComplies with and ensures staff compliance with all building and security requirementsActs as supervisor, if back-up system failsWorks cooperatively with HR to sustain employment for individuals with disabilitiesEnsures timely, accurate completion of time studies (if applicable), evaluations, and employee communicationsWorks with outside agency staff and job coaches to aid Chimes employeesPasses and complies with CPR/First Aid trainingSecondary Functions:

This position is designated as essential.
This means that when the facility is facedwith an institutional emergency, employees in this position may be required to remain at theirwork location or to report to work to protect, recover, and continue operations at the facility.
Education:
High School diploma or equivalentCollege degree preferredValid CPR/FA certification preferredKnowledge of green cleaning principles and CIMS certification requirementsKnowledge of electronic tracking systems such as MAXIMO, SAMS, TAMS, JAMSKnowledge of regulatory standards, hospital standards, and facility managementKnowledge about regulations for SDS, Fire and Safety, Hazard Communications and Bloodborne PathogensBilingual in Spanish and English preferred
Experience:
Five (5) years' experience in managing a workforce providing services on a contract of similar scope and sizeDemonstrated ability and knowledge of building service management as well as relevant equipment and chemicals and their applicationsWhat's in it for you? The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
