Summary:
Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment's storage plan. Work involves most of the following: verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages, routing materials to prescribed storage locations; storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods, rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials, examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage, removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment. This worker may operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
Duties and
Responsibilities:
? Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
? Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
? Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
? Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
? Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
? Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
? Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
? Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
? Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
? Highly skilled with applicable STAMIS and comprehensive knowledge of supply regulations and policies and the ability to manage multiple hand receipts and hand receipt holders.
? Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
? Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point) and data/web-based systems.
? Ability to monitor/assess performance of self, other individuals and organizations to make improvements or task corrective action.
? Ability to define work performance standards and define and apply metrics to measure quality performance against established quality standards.
? Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
? Ability to identify problems or potential problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.
? Ability to quickly respond to Government-identified problems or potential problems
Additional Position Information:
High School diploma with Two (2) years of warehouse operations experience.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
