Job Summary:
Responsible to the PM to manage and maintain accountability and control of all Government Furnished Equipment GFE. Must maintain 100% accountability of all government and contractor furnished property. Process and maintain Hand Receipts and shortage annexes. Conduct causative research and implement investigations (Reports of Survey) to establish liability for lost, damaged, or destroyed property.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Produce and maintain Hand Receipts and Sub-Hand Receipts.
Receive and stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
Report and resolve all discrepancies with the Accountable Officer.
Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Comprehensive knowledge of AR 710-2, AR 735-5, and DA PAM 710-2-1, government property accountability processes and procedures.
Prepare and provide Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), production results for tracking and monitoring, and trends and analysis.
Handling and Moving Objects -- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and
Ability to move materials, and manipulating things.
Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.

Additional Position Information:
HS Diploma required, Advanced Technical Degree preferred

Requires two (2) years' PBUSE and Property Book operations experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
