OUTPATIENT FAMILY NURSE PRACTITIONER

CADUCEUS HEALTHCARE is currently sourcing for several Nurse Practitioners to provide services as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to the U.S. Army Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) at Womack Army Medical Center, Fort Bragg, NC and outlying clinics. The provider shall provide services to eligible beneficiaries of the military health care system who present themselves to the Medical Treatment Facility for treatment
Responsibilities/Duties include but not limited to the following:
o The FNP shall perform and provide medical examination and treatments
o The FNP shall have sufficient specific training or practice experience in Family Medicine and shall be able to adequately assess, diagnose, stabilize and treat diseases and injuries to include, but not limited to, the following: Skin, Head, Ears, Eyes, Nose, Throat, Mouth, Teeth, Neck, Cardiovascular System, Pulmonary System, Gastrointestinal System, Lymphatic System, Musculoskeletal System, Genitourinary System, Reproductive System, Psychiatric Disease, Central Nervous System, Endocrine System, Peripheral Nervous System. The FNP shall be able to recognize those conditions beyond his/her level of training and/or experience and consult a physician in an appropriate and timely manner.
o The FNP performing services under this contract shall have sufficient training and experience to be able to adequately perform credentialed medical procedures to include, but not limited to the following:
o Administer intravenous, intramuscular and subcutaneous medications;
o Anoscopy;
o Arthrocentesis (excludes hip);
o Burn management;
o Cultures (throat/wound); Ear irrigation;
o Eye irrigation;
o Foreign Body Removal (rectal, extremity and uncomplicated ear/nose);
o Incision and drainage of abscesses & thrombosed hemorrhoids;
o Ingrown toenail removal initial interpretation of radiographs;
o Initial management of, envenomations and exposure to hazardous materials;
o Initial management of orthopedic extremity injuries, uncomplicated (splints);
o Interpret laboratory results; Laceration repair, complex (excludes flexor tendon repair and repair of neurovascular damage), Laceration repair (simple);
o Local Anesthesia (topical/ infiltration) and Regional Anesthesia (digits);
o Nebulizer treatment; Ocular tonometry, fluorescein and slip lamp examination;
o Perform venous puncture for laboratory studies; Secure and maintain an adequate airway;
o Secure and maintain adequate intravenous access by peripheral routes;
o Suture Removal;
o Wound care (evaluate and direct management).
o Collect and record, in proper format, medical and social historical data appropriate to the patient's condition.
o Perform a general physical examination. Record the findings in proper format and determine medical qualification for various purposes.
o Become familiar with the hospital formulary and prescribe pharmaceuticals according to the drugs listed.
o The FNP shall participate in administrative or clinical duties as requested or needed to ensure sustainment of normal clinical operations and ensure compliance with Joint Commission (JC) standards.
Qualifications:
Contract employee shall have the following qualifications/documentation:
o The FNP shall be a graduate of an educational program accredited by the American Medical Association or an accredited Family Nurse Practitioner Program. Will be a graduate FNP qualified by academic and practical education to provide patient services as a FNP.
o Be licensed as an FNP with a current valid, full and unrestricted license in one of the 50 states in the United States, and the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam or the U.S. Virgin Islands
o Will have and maintain, current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as certified by the American Heart Association.
o Have a minimum of at least one year of primary care experience treating patients of all ages for routine, urgent and emergent diseases and injuries and no more than twelve (12) months since the last work assignment.
o The Contractor shall ensure contract HCPs have received Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) required training for the position in which they will perform, and that training is maintained current. Documentation of such training shall be provided to the COR.
o Must be a U.S. citizen.
HOURS OF PERFORMANCE
Services provided on a full time basis, Sunday through Saturday, including Federal Holidays for the Department of Family Medicine. Normal duty hours can range from Monday - Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm; or 8:00am-5:00pm. Alternate work schedule of four-ten hour days may be required 1000-2100, Mon-Thurs with Friday off. This includes a 60-minute lunch break
The Contract HCP will be required to work at any of the 7 Primary Care Sites or the Consolidated Clinic

o Joel Clinic, an outlying Medical Treatment Facility (MTF), Ft. Bragg, NC.
o Womack Family Medical Residency Clinic - Integrity Team.
o Robinson Health Clinic - Team 2, an outlying MTF, Ft. Bragg, NC.
o Troop & Family Medical Clinic, an outlying MTF, Ft. Bragg, NC.
o Womack Family Medical Residency Clinic - Duty team, Ft. Bragg, NC
o Robinson Health Clinic - Team 4, an outlying MTF, Ft. Bragg, NCEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
