The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) will work collaboratively with program management as a business partner and point of contact to provide superior human resources services to our clients.
This is a hands on position that requires interaction and visibility with all levels of the organization.
Principal Position
Responsibilities:
Lead HR Business Partner (HRBP) for the assigned Programs
o Functionally aligned to the Vertex Aerospace Sector Director of HR, matrixed to the assigned Program Manager IPT
Proactive problem resolution in support of the PMO
Provide technical support to the HR Generalists at other Program subordinate sites
Primary EO, Diversity & Inclusion lead for the Program
Tactical & Strategic responsibility of the HR function on the Program
Resolve Employee Issues:
o Vacation Banks
o Employee Relations
o Benefits' Issues
o Tax Issues
o Payroll Issues
Staffing responsibilities for the program
LOA Administrator for
Assist with Workers Compensation administration
Assist with the Labor Relations function
Policy review, interpretation and recommendations
New Hire Orientation for applicable site
Salary Review/Analysis for Promotions/Reclassifications
Employee Communications through weekly calls and emails
EDS Approvals and Submissions
Special Projects and Process Improvements as needed
Complete assigned Ethics and other sensitive investigations adhering to compliance & confidentiality criteria
Provide expertise in strategy development and execution, planning, and facilitation of Employee and Labor Relations efforts
Pro-Active Approach on On-Boarding and Off-Boarding Employees
Pro-Active and Strategic Relationship with Functional Leads
Coaching and Mentoring with Supervisors/Managers
Training Facilitation
Pro-Active coaching, mentoring and consultation with leadership
Proactively manage employee relations needs to support an environment of integrity, respect, collaboration and effective communications
Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories, and concepts in the Human Resources field
Implement and effective Retention strategy through employee engagement assessment activities and regression analysis of exit interviews.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
Provides retrieval ability to produce employee information for analysis and decision making, statistical data, and other employee-related reports as required
Ability to Influence change and support in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) matrixed organization.
Use of SAP, EDS, Applicant Tracking, AutoTime, and other applicable HR systems
Other projects as assigned
Basic
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Related discipline major
At least six (6) years of experience in human resources as a Generalist, three (3) of which must have been in an HR Business Partner role
Four (4) or more years' experience in dealing with Employee Relations such as legal and regulatory issues, employee conduct, performance management, and policies and practices
Experience and knowledge of SCA and working US government contracts in the Aerospace industry.
Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Applications and related HR software solutions
At least four (4) years SAP or related HRIS proficiency required
Able to work in a fast paced entrepreneurial organization during a period of rapid growth or transition, has managed a business partnership function supporting a geographically dispersed workforce, and has a proven track record of success in implementing leading HR solutions and enhancing systems and processes Able to travel to include internationally
Effective communicator. Writes, speaks and presents effectively. Express ideas, thoughts, and concepts clearly and concisely, making solid case to gain understanding and influence results.
Strong relationship building capabilities and team building efforts.
